Varèse Vintage Records, specialists in catalog reissues is under the direction of Cary E. Mansfield, Vice President, Catalog A&R and Licensing.
Cary is a music industry veteran who has been involved in all aspects of the music industry from sales to production. In addition to Varèse Vintage, Mansfield has also produced or compiled packages for Universal Music, Capitol, and Motown Records. While at Motown, Mansfield produced the critically acclaimed Hitsville USA box sets.
The philosophy behind Varèse Vintage is to include artists and their ideas when creating projects, while at the same time involving the music buyer. Varèse Vintage is a consumer-oriented label; we encourage all music fans and CD buyers to provide their input for consideration regarding our upcoming releases.
Varèse Vintage currently has over 200 titles in its catalog, with more than 20 releases scheduled this year. Fontana Distribution LLC distributes the label. Varese Sarabande Records was formed in 1978 and maintains a back catalog with over 500 titles.
