The Demolition String Band
featuring Elena Skye and Boo Reiners
Gracious Days

Release Date: 03/06/12

Eminent mainstays of New York’s bluegrass and country-rock scene, Elena Skye and Boo Reiners bring their singular Demolition String Band back to their roots in their latest album Gracious Days. The set showcases traditional-styled originals like Skye’s “Misfortune” and Reiners’ “Under The Weather,” along with meaningful covers from Woody Guthrie, Appalachian old-timey singer-songwriter Ola Belle Reed, legendary outsider Blaze Foley and even The Ramones. But whatever the sources, Skye and Reiners–and their gathering of stellar guest musicians–stamp them with their own indelible and instantly recognizable signature.

Comprised of members Elena Skye (vocals) and Boo Reiners (guitar), this Hoboken quartet has strong musical roots in bluegrass traditions, but those roots are shot through with plenty of rock ‘n’ roll electricity. Correlations could be drawn to towering roots/punk bands like Lone Justice and X.

Dwight Twilley
Soundtrack

12 all-new astonishing Dwight Twilley songs

Available Now!
Dwight Twilley’s new studio album Soundtrack is unique and perhaps the most powerful recording of Twilley’s career. Mr. Twilley signed on to write and produce the disc to accompany a film documentary about his life now in production. “Creating this album was a real challenge for me. Something I’ve never attempted. It’s completely autobiographical. For me these songs are like musical photographs of the people, places and events that tell my story.”

Soundtrack is not an album with all the best cuts jammed at the beginning. The album is a masterful production that plays like a book that urges you to read from start to finish.

The new album marks a bittersweet milestone of the end of a more than 30-year collaboration between Twilley and legendary guitarist Bill Pitcock IV, who made a significant contribution to the album. Pitcock passed away near the completion of the recording.

Special guests on the album include Susan Cowsill (The Cowsills) who contributed her typically amazing harmonies on “Bus Ticket,” “God Didn’t Do It” and “The Cards Will Fall,” and fellow Tulsan Taylor Hanson (Hanson) who adds organ and magical keyboard sprinkles to “The Cards Will Fall” and “The Last Time Around.”

Track List:
1. “You Close Your Eyes”
2. “Bus Ticket”
3. “Tulsa Town”
4. “Skeleton Man”

The Family Way is the 1967 soundtrack composed by Paul McCartney, and performed by The George Martin Orchestra. This recording is sometimes considered to be the first Beatles solo album. The Family Way is a 1966 British comedy-drama film staring John Mills and Hayley Mills.

The original 1967 soundtrack recording to The Family Way begins with McCartney’s theme, “Love in the Open Air,” and contains twelve more (untitled) score cues suited to the onscreen action.  For his composition, McCartney was initially inspired by the sound of brass bands, familiar to his childhood in the North of England.

The very rare original recording of Paul McCartney’s first solo venture, The Family Way sound track was composed in 1966 and performed by The George Martin Orchestra.

The soundtrack is mastered from the original first generation stereo master tapes, and features a special bonus track “Theme From The Family Way,” in stereo for the first time ever! It was issued as a single under the name The Tudor Minstrels.

Under George Martin’s direction, the score was recorded at CTS Studios in November 1966.
